Another successful edition of the Meeting of the Trade Fairs and Events Sector (ESFE) in Brazil

Organized by Radar Group Communication, the event was attended by the country’s main decision-makers. The one-day event attracted leaders linked to Business Tourism, trade fairs and events (MICE), on Tuesday 10th February in the Golden Hall of the WTC Events Center, in Sao Paulo.
Nearly 800 people attended the 10th edition of the meeting, including Vinicius Lages Minister of Tourism in Brazil, Roberto de Lucena, Secretary of Tourism of the State of Sao Paulo, Wilson Poit, President of Sao Paulo Tourism and Valdir Walendowsky President of Santa Catarina Tourism.
4th Forum of Fairs and Events Sector
The first panel of the 4th Forum of Fairs and Events Sector was themed “Innovation and Results”. The panel was opened with a presentation from Paul Woodward, Managing Director of UFI (The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry), who presented the main trends for the sector of fairs and events. He was joined for the debate by Armando Arruda Pereira, President of UBRAFE; Ligia Amorim, Managing Director of NurnbergMesse Brasil and VP of the UFI Latin America Chapter; Sergio Pasqualin, Director of the Expo Center Norte and the Brazilian Academy of Events; and Juan Pablo Vera, President of Reed Exhibitions and the Council of SPCVB.
Paul explained how events have developed in recent years and the need of them to adapt to the new industry trends: globalisation, information digitalization, new managers and sustainability.
